God’s prophecy reveals the future with certainty—He knows the beginning and the end. After Satan’s rebellion, God exposed the lies behind the devil’s accusations—that He was controlling and unjust. In divine wisdom, God unfolded a plan to demonstrate to the loyal angels the ultimate triumph of truth and righteousness.
One of the most dramatic prophecies is found in Revelation 12, where the conflict between the woman and the red dragon symbolizes the ongoing battle between good and evil. This prophecy is not just symbolic—it’s a warning, a revelation, and a call to repentance. God reveals these mysteries because He is merciful. Even if you’re already consumed by sin, He wants to snatch you from the fire and save you.
🌕 The Heavenly Sign
“A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.” “Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.” — Revelation 12:1–4
This passage carries dual meaning:
👩🍼 First Interpretation: Mary and the Birth of Jesus
The woman represents Virgin Mary, who was about to give birth to Jesus, the Son of God, in human flesh. The red dragon is Satan, who sought to destroy Jesus from the moment of His birth.
When King Herod heard from the Magi that a child had been born who would be King, he was enraged. He ordered the massacre of all male children two years old and under in Bethlehem. As Matthew wrote, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy:
“Rachel is weeping for her children.”
But God intervened. An angel warned Joseph in a dream to flee to Egypt. That night, Joseph and Mary packed their belongings and escaped with baby Jesus. They remained in Egypt for over two years until Herod died. Guided by God, they later settled in Nazareth, fulfilling the prophecy:
“A great light has been seen in Galilee.”
Satan, the red dragon, was furious. Though he failed to destroy the child, he continued his pursuit.
⛪ Second Interpretation: The Woman as the Pure Church
The woman in Revelation symbolizes the pure church of God, especially during the Dark Ages, a time marked by intense persecution and spiritual darkness. For centuries, religious authorities sought to control doctrine and suppress biblical truth, silencing those who dared to challenge their power.
The Protestant Reformation emerged as a spiritual awakening. Led by Martin Luther in Germany and followed by reformers like John Calvin and John Wycliffe, believers rose up against the corruption and false teachings of the institutional church. Many paid the ultimate price for their convictions: tortured, burned at the stake, falsely accused of witchcraft, like Joan of Arc in France, some were used as human torches, others devoured by wild beasts, or executed by sword under the authority of the papacy and monarchs such as Queen Mary of England.
This movement gave birth to Protestantism, marking a pivotal split in Christianity. A new wave of faith spread across northern Europe in the early 16th century, challenging medieval Catholic doctrines and restoring access to Scripture and salvation by grace through faith.
The red dragon’s pursuit of the child in Revelation represents Satan’s relentless attack on the remnant church—those who remained faithful to God’s Word. Decrees that restricted Scripture to monks and nuns, and claimed that forgiveness could only be granted by the Pope, were distortions of divine truth.
Yet, God provided refuge. The earth and its elements, symbolized by trees and wilderness, represent the people and places God used to shelter His faithful, just as He protected Mary and the infant Jesus from Herod’s wrath.
🙌 Final Call
This prophecy is not just history; it’s a warning for today. The battle between good and evil continues. God is calling you to repent, to wake up, and to stand firm. He is merciful, full of love, and slow to anger. He says:
“Come now, let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them white as snow.”
Don’t wait. The dragon still roams. But the Lamb has already triumphed.

Have you ever wondered where the abyss is? Where exactly is this abyss? The Scriptures speak of it, but what exactly is it, and why does it exist? The abyss is not a myth or a tale designed to stir the imagination—it is real. While some readers of Revelation may interpret it symbolically, God has revealed the truth, and I will do my best to explain what He has made known.
We are not called to dwell endlessly on the unknown, yet understanding the abyss is part of discerning truth in a world filled with false prophets and ministers of Satan who spread deception. Your ultimate goal is salvation. Some rush to baptism out of fear, without true conversion. But baptism is holy and meant to be once for life. Though re-baptism may occur if one has fallen from faith, it is spiritually dangerous—a subject for another day.
For now, let us focus on the abyss. It first appears in Genesis, is referenced by prophets such as Isaiah, and later emerges in Revelation. Though its origin is not fully explained, God revealed its reality through His prophets. The abyss is closely tied to Satan’s rebellion. Before he turned against God, Satan and his angels were part of the countless hosts of heaven. We do not know when or how God’s heaven began, nor should we question it.
Throughout history, skeptics, atheists, agnostics, and philosophers have debated such mysteries, much like the Greeks who gathered in public plazas to argue their philosophies. Yet Scripture gives us glimpses of truth. Moses, in Genesis, described the abyss in these words:
“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” (Genesis 1:2)
As revealed by God, the first war and rebellion, the first sin, began in Heaven. Sin appeared when Satan turned against God. Some have wrongly accused God of creating evil, but Scripture makes clear: God did not create evil. Rather, because He granted absolute freedom to His angels, sin mysteriously arose when Lucifer chose pride over obedience.
Lucifer, once the most radiant and beautiful of angels, held a special place as a cherub, a guardian shielding others from the consuming fire of God’s presence. But pride took root in him. He exalted himself above the other angels, boasting in his beauty and brightness. Convinced of his own strength, he believed he could rival God Himself. He accused God of being controlling, claiming there was no freedom under His rule. Yet Lucifer misunderstood the nature of God’s omnipotence and the consuming fire of His holiness.
This pride grew into rebellion. The angel, once radiant, became corrupted; his beauty turned to darkness. He spread deception among the angels, convincing them that God was a tyrant. One-third of heaven’s host believed his lies and joined his rebellion.
Scripture records what followed:
“War broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down, that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.” (Revelation 12:7-8)
Lucifer, now called the serpent, was cast down in fury, along with the angels who followed him. They became corrupted spirits, stripped of their former glory. Though the battle was beyond human imagination, flashes of lightning, thunder, and spiritual conflict, God’s power prevailed. Satan and his angels were defeated and hurled to the earth.
As John wrote: “He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” (Revelation 12:9)
The collapse of the ground gave rise to what we now call the black hole, which scientists observe as expanding in the heavens. Through this passage, God cast Satan and his angels into the abyss. In truth, the universe itself reflects this abyss: once a dark, empty void of desolation.
It is beyond human imagination to picture billions of angels falling together, one third of heaven’s host siding with Satan. For ages beyond counting, they have been bound in this abyss. Though details remain hidden, God revealed glimpses through His prophets. Scripture confirms that the abyss is their prison. As spirits, they were confined in darkness, unable to summon light. Satan’s limited power could not pierce the void. They drifted in emptiness, water, darkness, airless space, a vast limbo suspended in desolation.
Before God created the world, this abyss was formless and void. After countless ages, God devised His plan. His Spirit descended into the abyss, into the place of darkness. At first, Satan and his angels remained powerless, imprisoned. But when God visited, they witnessed His glory firsthand.
Scripture declares: “Let there be light.” (Genesis 1:3)
And there was light. Over six days, God shaped creation, earth and seas, stars and heavens, moon and sun, bringing beauty and order to the abyss. On the seventh day, He rested and blessed His work, establishing the Sabbath.
Thus, the abyss was transformed. What was once desolate became a living world, radiant with wonder and light. And Satan, with his fallen angels, watched it unfold, beholding with their own eyes the immeasurable power of God.

Now that Scripture is being preached in nearly every corner of the world, Satan is devising a new plan to infiltrate the truth and destroy God's people. How will he accomplish this? Jesus warned us:
“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.”
The evil one will attempt to impersonate Jesus.
Satan is cunning and knows human weaknesses—especially our desire for attention. As more people hear the truth, he will exploit this platform to mislead many. Since God has not removed the power He gave Satan, he will use every trick at his disposal to deceive, particularly targeting the younger generation.
Seeing that young people often feel lost and seek comfort and a sense of belonging, Satan uses these vulnerabilities as his opportunities. Jesus also warned us in advance:
“At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.”
Jesus, when He comes for the second time, will not come in secret. He will come with great power and with God the Father in great glory. As it is written,
“Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all peoples on earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.”
Jesus assured that true believers will not be deceived. He explained that before His return, certain events must unfold first:
“This gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” When you see the “abomination that causes desolation” standing in the holy place, as spoken of by the prophet Daniel—let those who understand take heed—those in Judea must flee to the mountains. No one should go down from the rooftop to retrieve anything from their home, nor should anyone in the field return for their cloak. The days will be especially hard for pregnant women and nursing mothers, so pray that your escape does not happen in winter or on the Sabbath. This time of great distress will be unlike anything the world has ever seen before, and nothing like it will ever come again.
If anyone claims, “Look, He’s out in the wilderness,” don’t go out; or if they say, “Here He is, in the inner rooms,” don’t believe it. Just as lightning flashes from the east and is seen all the way to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be visible to all. Wherever there is a carcass, the vultures will gather.
Immediately after those troubling days, “the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.” Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all people on earth will mourn when they see Him coming on the clouds with power and great glory. He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call to gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Learn this lesson from the fig tree: when its twigs become tender and its leaves sprout, you know summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things happening, know that His return is near—right at the door.”
Now, everyone has been clearly warned—there are no more excuses. God will hold each person accountable for their actions and for rejecting these words and warnings. Since you have received the truth, share it boldly and without hesitation. In doing so, you will be blessed.
